Rising signs new MoU with Ministry in Sierra Leone

Off the back of two sets of strong evaluation results in our SLEIC EOF and Freetown City Partnerships, we’re delighted to share that the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE) in Sierra Leone has formally signed a new partnership agreement with us. The partnership asks us to:

  • Expand the reach of Rising’s's research-backed curriculum materials and remedial learning programs across additional schools to improve student outcomes.

  • Introduce Rising's award-winning virtual math tutor, Rori, to selected schools to enhance math skills and digital literacy.

  • Provide training and capacity-building for teachers, school leaders, and education officers to strengthen pedagogical practices and leadership capabilities.

  • Collaborate on data collection and analysis to inform education policy and improve program effectiveness.

  • Explore innovative applications of Artificial Intelligence to support teacher performance and enhance student learning outcomes.

  • Engage in knowledge management through workshops, seminars, and regular reporting to government partners and stakeholders.

We are incredibly excited to be collaborating and co-creating with the MoE in this way, and look forward to supporting the Government’s mission to dramtically improve outcomes for all students across the country.

Hon. Minister Conrad Sackey with Rising School Manager Alpha Kamara.
