OUR MODEL
In Africa, 4 out of 5 children and young adolescents attending school — that’s 133 million children — are not mastering the basics.
There are still too many children out of school, especially in countries affected by conflict and humanitarian emergencies.
But for the first time in history, most non-learners are actually to be found in school. Every day, millions of children make their way to classrooms where they fail to learn anything because the quality of the education they receive is so poor.
The World Bank calls it The Global Learning Crisis - and girls are at the frontline. In Sierra Leone and Liberia, 95% of young women who finish their schooling after Grade 6 can’t read a simple sentence.
We strengthen teaching and learning through structured curriculum, ongoing coaching, and actionable data—designed to work reliably across public school systems.
Independent studies show this approach delivers best-in-class learning gains at a fraction of the cost of comparable models.
-

Structured Curriculum
We provide clear, well-structured lesson guides and technology that translate curriculum standards into easy-to-teach content for every lesson. These materials support consistent, high-quality instruction in every classroom, including large and mixed-ability settings.
-

Ongoing Coaching
Teachers receive regular coaching and feedback to strengthen classroom practice, supported by digital tools that help guide observations, prioritise support, and track progress. This ensures consistent implementation and helps teachers translate training into effective daily instruction, with emerging AI tools beginning to enhance coaching and insight.
-

Data and Feedback
We use student assessment, digital tools, and real-time data to track progress, identify gaps, and guide support, with AI increasingly helping to generate insights and improve decision-making. These feedback loops provide teachers, school leaders, and systems with clear, actionable insights—enabling continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
Our Work In Action
Evaluations of RisingFaster continue to show strong learning gains across multiple countries, including Liberia, Sierra Leone and Rwanda.
Alongside this, we see the impact every day in classrooms and communities. Watch the story below to hear directly from students and families.
We are also developing AI-enabled tools such as Rori, working closely with teachers, students, and families to continuously test and improve their effectiveness.
This approach allows us to refine our tools in real classrooms and ensure they deliver meaningful learning gains.
